Stripe That Table

Everyone's gotta get their inspiration from somewhere! For this project it was from the ever so loved Pinterest. We bought the table a while back from one of our favorite thrift stores here in Denver. The table and two chairs totaled 20 bucks! After using this table as our craft table for over a year we decided to give it a fresh look and it needed it! Covered in paint, coffee, and wine stains from numerous Niche projects we went at it. Here is a step by step of how it all went down.

*Warning, the Swanson Sisters tend to do things their own way (in business and life in general) so for all of you furniture refinishing buffs out there any suggestions and or tips on better products etc. feel free to share!!

Here we go!!!   Sand off all of the evidence!! No more stains:) We used our trusty Ridgid Sheet Sander with Nortons 220 sandpaper.  Take a damp cloth after to clean up the dust etc. Next we taped out our stripes. As stated previously, we do things our own way so we didn't measure so we could get that not so precise and planned look, that's just us though.

Ready for paint! 2 coats of it!

We let our stripes dry for a day just to make sure then carefully removed the tape.

With just a sponge brush we painted the legs for a pop of color ( and accidentally a bit of my hair).
2 coats of course as well as a few touch ups, oops!
Last and final step for us was a protective finish, aka no more stains.
Feel free to spill your vino here.

We hope you love our reVamped table!!! Following is a list of products we used.
